User Statement

My revealing, narrative paintings and sculptures capture powerful universal feelings created by the dichotomies of life. Intensity of experience is felt through depth of color, form and content. My expressive pieces are passionate and inspiring, much like life. I start with a concept and let my inner world and the piece take over. The works evoke a time and place in my life, the stories life. Yet, others have told me the scenes bring back their own experiences and memories. The personal becomes universal. The Chasm series speaks to a time like no other, we mourned and we grew and we made our way. The piece reflects our political and social alienation, distance from each other. both physically and metaphorically. We will move forward, forever changed. Born in NYC and a Californian by choice. My fingerprints are distinctive across the many mediums I use to express myself and hopefully reach others.
