Nick Winkworth is a Bay Area based fine art photographer who’s work has been exhibited in contemporary photography galleries across the USA including in California, New York, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, and Vermont, as well as in the UK and Japan. His resume includes over 100 exhibitions including group shows. //
Nick’s photographic work explores a wide range of subject matter including abstract, architectural, urban landscape and performance – always seeking the simplicity in the everyday. Regardless of the subject, his images are anchored by a strong graphic style with a focus on composition and form. From the slow consumption of abandoned vehicles by vegetation to the calligraphic beauty of tire marks on concrete or a long lost forest rising from receding waters, his images always surprise and question – often with a playful element of mystery. //
Nick is currently Vice President of the Bay Area Photographers Collective (BAPC), a nonprofit community of dedicated photographic artists who’s members support and encourage each others’ creative journeys. His work can be seen in the the latest BAPC exhibition “Uncanny Beauty” at the Harvey Milk Photo Center, 50 Scott St. San Francisco, Sept 14 – Oct 21 2023.
